The Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center of the National Academies of Sciences and Engineering, in Irvine, California, provided the setting for the inauguration of PANTHALASSA® by PANGEA WORLD in September 2005.  Named after the primeval world ocean, PANTHALASSA® is master-planned by PANGEA® as a globally-scaled network of TCR Vanguard® routes of knowledge that bring to light, interlink, and value treasure-troves of natural and cultural heritage across and beyond the present-day Pacific.  This web of knowledge is fashioned to serve as a foundation for a cross-national conservation strategy that will stimulate sustainable knowledge-economies, and as a matrix for a hotel portfolio of unprecedented capacity to excel in experience-management while boosting the prestige and conservation dividend of science.
